'Airs of a Stream'

After my site visit to the stream and a burst of inspiration after our talk by Pamela Howard I decided to play around with cutting into foamboard and  painting it to create a texture that depicts the reflections and choppy nature of the ambling water. This is my first attempt and I love it, it mimicks the stream nicely and the mix of blues compliment each other suggesting water. The lighter blue descending into the darker was like the water flowing into the distance and becoming more reflective as it did so. This will work really well in the set as it shows the Soldier being pulled along his journey and times of change. I just need to work out how this will be re-created to scale when the time comes!
